Alaskan architecture design

Determine Design LLC was founded in 2014 by Daniel H. Clift, a life-long resident of Alaska. Daniel formally studied Architecture at the University of Idaho while gaining on-the-job experience at firms located in Alaska during the summer months. Upon receiving his Master's Degree, Daniel returned to Alaska permanently to complete his professional training and became fully licensed by the state of Alaska to practice commercial architecture in 2015.

We are located in Anchorage, AK and provide commercial architecture design and building permit support services within the municipality and throughout the state of Alaska. We draw the building plans, we hire the necessary engineers on your behalf, we submit our drawings to either the local building department or the state fire marshal, we track progress on reviews in order to receive approved plans, and support our contractors in the field during construction.

While the majority of our projects are located in Anchorage, we provide design services throughout the state of Alaska and beyond. The current market in Anchorage has made the alteration or adaptive reuse of existing spaces the most common type of design project in our own portfolio. These projects have included medical and dental facilities, restaurants, markets, retail shops, marijuana dispensaries, and many others. We also design for new construction ranging from industrial types and additions to community spaces and multifamily dwellings.
